Balloon size labels explained: nominal inches, quantities and finished display dimensions

Number Balloon Tower catalogue illustration

A product description might say “one 40-inch number balloon”, “nine helium balloons” or “ten 18-inch balloons”. Those numbers answer different questions. Some describe a listed balloon size; others count the pieces supplied. Neither automatically tells you the finished display's height or width.

Before comparing a balloon listing with your room measurements, separate three things: the individual size label, the component quantity and the proposed arrangement. This makes your enquiry clearer without trying to calculate an installation from a product photograph.

Read the size and quantity as separate fields

In “one 40-inch number balloon”, one is the quantity and 40 inches is the balloon's listed size. In “40 helium balloons”, 40 is a quantity; it does not mean that those balloons have a 40-inch size label.

The Number Balloon Tower lists one 40-inch foil number balloon, with a single digit from zero to nine, and a latex balloon base. The 40-inch label belongs to the number balloon. It is not a stated measurement for the complete tower, including its base.

Similarly, the Happy Birthday Balloon Bouquet lists one 36-inch personalised Happy Birthday balloon and nine helium balloons. Keep the 36-inch description attached to the focal balloon; do not transfer that size to all nine supporting balloons.

Do not multiply a label into a room dimension

The Floating Balloon Package lists ten 18-inch helium balloons with cascading mini balloons beneath each one. Ten counts the main balloons; 18 inches describes their listed size. Multiplying ten by 18 would not establish the display's width, and the size label does not include a confirmed overall hanging length.

The Will You Marry Me listing describes 16-inch letter balloons for that phrase, alongside its other listed components. That is not a stated width for the whole phrase or the room arrangement. Ask how the proposed lettering would be presented rather than adding letter labels together.

Keep your room measurements on a different line

Label the area you are describing on a photograph or sketch. Say what each measurement refers to: a wall section, the space beside furniture or another specific part of the room. Include units consistently and identify furniture or existing decorations that will remain.

Do not turn an available wall measurement into a claim that a particular display fits. Ask the team what additional information it needs and what complete arrangement it proposes. Keep placement and installation decisions with the operating team and authorised property contact.

For a fictional example, a host records a wall section as “[width] centimetres” and separately notes “Number Balloon Tower: one 40-inch number balloon plus base”. They ask for the proposed complete tower dimensions and arrangement. They do not enter 40 inches as the tower's confirmed finished height.

A dimension enquiry you can copy

Product and exact variant: [link]. Listed size label and component: [copy accurately]. Listed quantities: [separate entries]. Proposed area: [labelled photo/sketch]. My measurements and units: [what each value measures]. Items staying in place: [details]. Please confirm what the product size label refers to, the complete proposed display dimensions, and any additional room information you need before agreeing the arrangement.

If a reply gives a dimension, check which component or complete arrangement it describes. Keep unanswered fields open rather than replacing them with estimates from a photograph.

Send Lunar Moments your labelled dimension enquiry, with the full Dubai local date and location. Confirm the design, actual scope, quote and booking terms separately. A size label or an enquiry does not confirm fit or a booking.
